Introducing a world-leading surgical navigation system for fetal surgery

On November 18, we presented at a press conference a new tool for fetal surgery developed in collaboration with BCN Med Tech-UPF Barcelona and BCNatal (Sant Joan de Déu Hospital and Hospital Clínic).

It is the first surgical navigation tool for fetal surgery that virtually reconstructs a pregnant woman’s placenta from MR and ultrasound images. It enables the preoperative planning of surgery and intraoperative navigation, improving precision, surgical time, and associated risks. We are currently using this navigation system successfully for twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. This news had great coverage in the media and the group appeared on multiple television channels, on the radio and in more than 40 print and digital media.
