Fàtima Crispi is the scientific coordinator of BCNatal-FMRC and coordinator of the Fetal Programming line.
As well has having graduated (2000) in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and obtained a PhD (2009) in Biomedicine from the University of Barcelona, she holds a specialty in Gynecology/Obstetrics (2005) and a postgraduate degree (2010) in Research Methodology, both from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. During 2007–2010 she gained a subspecialty in fetal cardiology including two rotations in high-profile centers abroad (Harris Birthright Center for Fetal Medicine and St George's Hospital, London). She is currently a senior specialist physician in BCNatal’s Fetal Cardiology Unit.
She is a researcher accredited by IDIBAPS, associate professor at the University of Barcelona and a member attached to the Center for Networked Biomedical Research in Rare Diseases (CIBERER). She is an academic editor of the journals PLoS One and Scientific Reports. Author of more than 150 scientific articles in world-class international journals (h-index 36), she is currently an international leading researcher in the field of cardiology and fetal programming.
